Frequently asked questions…

Why is wedding music often so generic

Keeping your many different guests entertained can be challenging as not everyone likes the same stuff. This is why so many DJs revert to the same basic formulas. Many weddings DJs don’t try to understand and appreciate your individual tastes. They treat your wedding just like last weeks and assume you’ll be happy with what you get.

Why choose RiffMix

RiffMix suits couples looking for a contemporary wedding DJ. A DJ committed to helping your wedding be truly unique. The music at your wedding should be as individual as you are. That’s why its important to understand your tastes and the kind of ceremony and atmosphere you’re looking to create.

How much will it cost?

Please contact RiffMix for a custom quote based on your requirements.  Wedding DJ packages can be totally customised to your needs but will generally include DJ services and a music engagement / consultation session plus all necessary top of the range audio and lighting equipment. However, length of wedding, venue/region and amount of equipment required play a part so please get in touch below and I’d love to work with you to create something affordable and special. Packages start from $750.

What happens after booking?

I’ll take the time to meet or speak with you as much as necessary to ensure the music played on the day really works for you and your guests and gets everyone celebrating.

We can discuss you and your guests favourite songs and I’ll create you an individual and unique play list based on your tastes and professionally mix it up during the reception.

I use the latest sound and lighting equipment which can be tailored to set to create the perfect mood and atmosphere for your wedding. You can choose from various flexible packages.

What happens on the day?

I’ll arrive at your wedding venue with plenty time to spare and liaise with the event or venue coordinators and ensure by the time you arrive the space looks perfect. All entrance songs and other details will be in place and ready to go. I’ll have met the M.C. and finalised the speech times and microphone placements. The rest of the evening will flow as we planned. Usually chatty arrival music with many of your favourite’s played during dinner and then after the formalities it’s time to party. First dance song if you choose followed up tracks designed to keep the dance floor rocking.
